Worklife Mindfulness Course

Reduce stress and improve wellbeing in just 6 weeks

Practicing mindfulness can support wellbeing, increase personal effectiveness and enhance our ability to cope with life's challenges.

It's been shown to improve focus and other cognitive skills used at work. Even brief periods of mindfulness can increase working memory, comprehension scores, reaction times and decision-making.

It's been found to impact all aspects of our lives from better communication and relationships to less stress and more resilience.

If you have yet to discover how to bring mindfulness to life then this course is for you.

6 week course

Starting September 2024

Express Interest

Based on an NICE-approved mindfulness course, this 6 week course was developed by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, and has been specifically designed for non-clinical settings.

The evidence-led programme combines psycho-education, mindfulness theory, regular practice and experiential insight to increase self-knowledge, awareness and management.

Course format

In just six sessions delivered via MS Teams, you'll gain all you need to begin to benefit from being mindful.

Each week you will learn about different aspects of mindfulness, habits of mind and neuroscience research findings to help you to better understand the workings of your mind and how to bring mindfulness to life.

Every session includes meditation practice and discussion so you'll feel confident using your new skill.

The programme is designed so that each session builds on learning from previous ones. By the end, you will understand what mindfulness is and how to use it in daily life.

The course runs for 6 sessions.

So that your capacity to be mindful increases over time, the course is delivered in six modules with a different attention exercise (meditation) taught each time and practised for a week.

What's included

> Pre-enrolment chat (30 mins)

> 6 x training sessions (90 mins each) and related resources

> Recorded meditations to download and keep

> Between session support

> Post programme 1-2-1 check-in (60 mins)

> Optional mindfulness measurement

There is the option to measure what aspects of mindfulness have changed for you using the Five Facet Mindfulness survey. This is a standard measure of mindfulness and has been translated and validated in many languages.  If interested,  a pre-course questionnaire must be completed.

Your investment

Of course there is a training fee* but there is also your commitment to attending the weekly 90 minute session and doing the formal and informal practice outside of class (totals about 30 mins/day).

Practice is key. It rewires your brain so that increasingly you become better able to pay attention to your moment to moment experience and, gain all the benefits that brings.

If you cannot currently commit to regular practice then this course may not be for you right now.
