Worklife Mindfulness Course
Learn how to reduce stress and enhance wellbeing in just 6 weeks
Interest in learning mindfulness continues to grow.
It's no surprise; being mindful has been shown to enhance wellbeing, improve personal effectiveness and increase our ability to cope with challenging situations.
Being mindful is more than being able to pay attention to the present moment. Whilst it is a skill, you also need to learn how to use it, that's where courses come in.
Doing a course offers a means to not just develop your ability to be mindful but also know how to benefit from it in daily life.
But not everyone can or wants to learn in a group setting.
Whatever the reason, I can help you learn mindfulness at a time and pace that's right for you.
My 6-week, private, 1-2-1 course is designed to help you increase self-awareness and manage your emotions, so you can deal more skillfully with whatever life presents.
In this one-to-one course, you will learn how mindfulness can be brought to all aspects of your life.
>6 one-to-one sessions and related resources
>Mindfulness practice support
>Post programme check-in
In just six sessions via online video conferencing platforms like Teams or Zoom, I will share with you all you need to begin to benefit from being mindful.
Each week you will learn about different facets of mindful awareness, psychological principles and neuroscience research findings to help you to better understand the workings of the mind and how to bring mindfulness to life.
Each session includes meditation practices and discussion so you feel confident using your new skill.
The course programme is designed so that each session builds on previous ones. By the end you will have a thorough understanding of what mindfulness is and how to use it in daily life.
This course is the first step to bringing mindfulness to all aspects of your life.
After just 6 sessions, you will...
Have new ways to manage challenging situations and difficult feelings
Be more present with yourself, others and life in general
Have increased self-awareness so that you begin to act from choice
Have increased body awareness so you can better self-regulate
Connect and engage differently with people around you
Enjoy greater attentional control so that you are less distracted
Know powerful mindfulness practices to support your wellbeing
Understand general mindfulness concepts
Model a non-judging, open-minded approach
Likely to have established or deepened a meditation practice
Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in learning mindfulness who wants to learn how to bring mindfulness to life at a time that is convenient for them.
Please Note: This mindfulness course is not designed to be therapeutic. If you have any concerns in this regard then it is recommended that you speak to a suitably qualified counsellor and, perhaps, learn in a clinical setting.
So that your ability to pay attention and your capacity to be mindful increases over time, the course is delivered in six modules with a different attention exercise (meditation) taught in each time.
It is a 6 week course. However, as it is taught one to one the timing of the sessions is flexible and can be taught over a longer period if needed.
1.5hr training session + formal and informal practice (min 30mins/day)
Practice is key, it literally rewires your brain. If you cannot currently commit to regular daily practice then this course is not for you.
All my mindfulness course slots are full at the moment so I can not work with anyone else right now. I will be taking on new trainees from late March.
Not many people offer 1-2-1 teaching so places get booked fast so get in touch as soon as you think you might like to do the course with me.
Thinking you'd like to learn mindfulness?
Deciding to sign up for a course you've found on the internet can feel somewhat risky. That's why I offer everyone the chance to have a chat with me and attend a mindfulness introduction session before signing up.
