Worklife Mindfulness Course
Learn how to reduce stress and improve wellbeing in just 6 weeks
It's no surprise that interest in learning mindfulness shows no signs of waning. Being mindful has been found to improve wellbeing, enhance personal effectiveness and increase our ability to cope with challenging situations.
But realising the benefits of mindfulness is more than simply being able to pay attention to the present moment. You also need to know how to use such a skill and that's where courses like this come in.
On this page
By training in mindfulness, you'll develop your capacity to be with your moment to moment experience and know how to put it to use in the midst of life's struggles.
But not everyone can, or wants to, learn in a group setting.
Whatever the reason, I can help you learn mindfulness at a time and pace that's right for you.
My 1-2-1 course is designed to help you become more present in your day, whilst simultaneously increasing self-understanding and managing your emotions so you can deal more skillfully with whatever life presents.
Course outline
This 6-module course uses the Workplace Mindfulness Training (WorkplaceMT) model developed by The Mindfulness Exchange, a spin-off from the UK's Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
Based on an NHS-approved mindfulness course for clinical settings, this evidence-led programme combines mindfulness theory, psycho-education, regular practice and experiential insight to increase self-knowledge, self-awareness and self-management.
Session content
In just six sessions via online video platforms like Teams or Zoom, I will share with you all you need to benefit from being mindful.
To help you to better understand the workings of the mind and how to bring mindfulness to life, each week you will learn about different facets of mindful awareness, psychological principles and neuroscience research findings.
Each session includes a different meditation practice and discussion so you feel confident using your new skill.
The programme is designed so that each session builds on previous ones. By the end you will have a thorough understanding of what mindfulness is and how to use it in daily life.

Duration
So that your capacity to pay attention and your ability to be present increases over time, the course is delivered in six modules with a different attention exercise (meditation) taught each time and practised for a week.
The course is designed to be delivered over a 6-week period. However, as it is taught one to one, the timing of the sessions is flexible and can be taught over a longer period, if needed. Some have learned over 12 weeks, others even longer.
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to learn how to be more present and less distracted at a time that is convenient for them.
Please Note: This mindfulness course is not therapeutic. If you are looking for mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, speak to your GP about learning in a clinical setting.
Your investment
There is, of course, a financial invesment but there is also your commitment to engaging with the sessions and doing the practice.
Practice is key - it literally rewires your brain. This usually involves 20-30 minutes a day, in a way that fits into your life.
f you feel able to make space for that, the work can be really impactful. If not, it may be something to come back to at a different point.
A series of 7 one-to-one sessions (with a follow-on coaching session included)
