Drop-in meditation
Press the pause button, rest and reset with meditation
So much of the time we rush from one thing to another not taking the time to notice what we are thinking or how we are feeling.
These open access drop-in mindfulness sessions give you the chance to press the pause button, check-in, and re-centre.
Sitting together offers a means to explore mindfulness meditation with others, as well as boost or maintain a personal practice.
Session overview
In each 30-minute session, we will explore a particular aspect of mindful awareness and experience it for ourselves using a related guided meditation.
The session is in three parts.
The main part is the guided meditation (15-20 minutes) where we train our brain to be more mindful, exercising our attention muscle.
Ahead of the meditation there will be some theory to support your mindfulness and meditation practice.
There is time at the end to ask questions and share your experience.
Content is drawn from neuroscience, mindfulness and meditation published research, as well as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Cognitive Therapy courses.
